About what happened in Orlando – I don’t know what to say. Maybe pray, but I have no vocal or emotional range right now to express what I am really feeling and thinking. I’ll offer a fragment from an unfinished poem:

A day went to sleep

Drawing blinds on the sun,

Light darkened and cold, er-

ror, like a womb rejecting her fetus,

Bleeding hurt from the mother

Who would not lick her newly-birthed

After birth, paining our neighbour’s spite

for us, being, in our youngling ruckus.
